BahamasCollegeZone.com is a website founded and ran by Computer Information Systems Graduate, Garnel Leo. It is designed to bring Bahamian students together, discuss college issues and college life, get help, find jobs, sell items, find scholarships and get school books cheaper.

Launched in December of 2005, the site was created to give College of the Bahamas students and other tertiary level students in the Bahamas an easier way to get books for class. As you may know, spending over $300-$500 is difficult after just paying off tuition bill. Furthermore there isnt any real systematic alternatives to obtain books cheaper. The site was also given community-life features such as a discussion forum, where students can have sensible, and educated discussions about issues that are important to them.

Acknowledment goes to David Degner, for creating the opensource phpcollegeexchange script and the makers of phpBB the engine that powers the message board, icongalore.com and all of you guys and gals (including Renaldo Smith and Tecoyo Sturrup who helped to make the site what it is today.
